Nepal 14-day Adventure Tour

Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be greeted by our team and transferred to our guesthouse. For those who have arrived earlier, we’ll assist with check-in and ensure everyone is comfortably settled. In the afternoon, we’ll gather for a short orientation meeting where you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions about Nepal and your upcoming adventure.

This evening, get ready for an inspiring meeting with our incredible Sasane Sister guides. They will share their stories and experiences, offering a unique perspective on Nepal’s culture and society. Following the meeting, indulge in a traditional Nepali dinner, where you’ll have plenty of chances to connect and bond with your fellow travelers, creating lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. Get ready to embark on a remarkable journey through Nepal, filled with adventure, exploration, and cultural immersion.

(Dinner included)

Get ready for a day filled with the vibrant energy of Nepal’s markets and the spiritual allure of its ancient culture. We’ll begin with a traditional Nepali breakfast, shared with our inspiring Sasane sister guides. Fuelled up and ready to go, we’ll dive into the heart of Kathmandu’s bustling streets and hop on public transport to Basantapur Durbar Square.

As we arrive, we’ll embark on a chaotic rickshaw tour through the lively streets of Thamel. This vibrant area has been a hub for tourists and artists for decades, offering a colorful blend of craft shops, trekking gear stores, and delightful restaurants. Immerse yourself in the maze of streets, where rainbow prayer flags flutter above and the scent of delicious food fills the air.

Our journey continues as we wander through the vibrant Ason and Indrachowk marketplaces. Here, you’ll witness the lively bustle of traditional Nepalese life, as locals navigate the stalls, haggling for bargains and purchasing fresh produce. Let the vibrant atmosphere and sensory overload captivate you as you explore the lively market and indulge in authentic street food for lunch.

In the afternoon, we’ll take a short drive to Boudhanath, one of Nepal’s largest stupas. Built in the 5th century and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this sacred place emanates a profound spiritual energy. As you enter the sanctuary, you’ll be greeted by the sight of the magnificent dome-shaped stupa adorned with brilliant prayer flags. Observe monks dressed in maroon robes as they engage in their rituals, spinning prayer wheels, lighting incense, and offering flickering butter candles.

Next, we’ll visit the revered Pashupatinath temple, a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located on the banks of the Bagmati River, this temple complex is known for its intricate architecture and spiritual significance. Keep an eye out for the playful monkeys that inhabit the temple grounds.

As the evening approaches, take some time to wander the enchanting streets of Kathmandu, exploring at your own pace. Indulge in more street food delights or connect with your guide and fellow travelers at a local café, sharing stories and experiences over a delicious group meal. Afterward, we’ll transport you back to the guesthouse, where you can relax and reflect on the captivating experiences of the day.

(Breakfast included)

After a hearty breakfast, get ready for an exciting day of adventure as we leave Kathmandu behind and embark on a scenic drive to Charaundi, located on the banks of the Trishuli River. Brace yourself for an adrenaline-pumping experience as we embark on a thrilling river trip up to Kurintar.

Accompanied by skilled and experienced river guides, we’ll navigate the fast-flowing Trishuli River, known for its impressive gorges and exhilarating grade 2-3 rapids. Feel the rush of excitement as we ride the waves, immersing ourselves in the beauty of the surrounding landscapes. With the Langtang Himal as our backdrop, this thrilling river journey promises unforgettable moments and plenty of fun.

After our exhilarating river adventure, we’ll take a well-deserved break for a delicious lunch. Savor the flavors of Nepali cuisine as we recharge and soak in the picturesque surroundings.

Continuing our journey, we’ll make our way to the enchanting Newari town of Bandipur, a hidden gem in central Nepal. As we arrive, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The narrow streets are cobbled, and both sides are adorned with traditional wooden Newari houses, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. Take a leisurely stroll through the Bandipur bazaar, where you’ll be captivated by the artistic buildings and enchanted by the simple yet contented lives of the locals.

There are plenty of charming eateries in Bandipur where you can find an awesome meal to enjoy with your group and guide (not included). Indulge in the local cuisine, savoring the authentic flavors and immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of this unique town.

As the day comes to an end, we’ll settle into our accommodation in Bandipur, ready to reflect on the thrilling river adventure and the charming experiences of the day.

(Breakfast and lunch included)

Rise and shine! This morning, we embark on a short hike that will lead us to one of the most authentic villages in Nepal, untouched by modern development. Our journey takes us through the picturesque Muchuk Village, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, until we reach the village of Ramkot. This village is home to the indigenous Magar community, whose ancestry traces back to Mongol interlopers. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage, history, and rural lifestyle of Nepal.

As we explore the village, you’ll witness the traditional practices, customs, and rituals that have been preserved by the Magar community. Engage with the locals, learn about their way of life, and gain insights into their traditions and values. This unique experience will offer a glimpse into the authentic Nepalese society that thrives in the rural areas.

In the afternoon, we make our way back to Bandipur, where we’ll take a short drive to our next destination: Pokhara. Pokhara is renowned for its vibrant nightlife, with lively streets adorned with colorful decorations and buzzing with live music performances. While the city offers an exciting array of entertainment, we recommend getting some rest as tomorrow will be an early start. However, with the allure of Pokhara’s cool city atmosphere, it might be easier said than done to resist the temptations of the nightlife.

Prepare for a day filled with adventure and new experiences as we continue our journey in Nepal.

(Breakfast included)

Prepare for an unforgettable adventure as we embark on an overnight trek into the majestic mountains of Nepal. We rise early, at the rather ridiculous hour of 4:30 am, to witness an awe-inspiring sunrise at Sarangkot. From this vantage point, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Annapurna ranges. Capture the beauty of this moment for your Instagram feed, as the golden rays illuminate the snow-capped peaks.

After the sunrise, we gather for a heartwarming breakfast to fuel our bodies for the day’s trek. Our journey begins in Kande, where we set foot on the trail that winds through charming farm villages. As we ascend, stone steps guide us uphill towards our destination: Australian Camp, also known as Thulo Kharka. Interestingly, the name “Australian Camp” came about as a result of the area’s captivating beauty. In the late 1980s, visitors from Austria were so enchanted by this serene and unspoiled location that they would camp here for days on end. However, the name proved challenging for local Nepalese people to pronounce, leading to a serendipitous mix-up that gave birth to the name “Australian Camp.”

During our hike, we take an active role in preserving the natural beauty of the trail by participating in a cleanup effort. Your guide will provide eco-bags and tongs, allowing us to collect any waste we come across during our journey. By leaving the trail cleaner than we found it, we contribute to the preservation of this pristine environment.

As the day draws to a close, we gather around a cozy campfire, sharing stories and creating lasting memories. Tonight, we have the privilege of sleeping beneath the starry sky, nestled in the embrace of the magnificent Nepalese mountains. This is the moment we’ve been waiting for – a true immersion in the awe-inspiring beauty of Nepal. Prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience in these breathtaking surroundings.

(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Awake to the delightful symphony of birdsong and the enticing aroma of tea and local breakfast, refreshed from a restful night’s sleep in your cozy tent. This morning, we embark on a short trek to Syangja, a community off the beaten path, where we have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the traditions and daily lives of the local villages. Watch as the villagers go about their daily routines, from milking buffaloes to tending to their farms.

In Syangja, you have two incredible options to choose from:

Option 1: Spend a rewarding day with a Mother’s Group. This remarkable voluntary women’s group, belonging to a vulnerable and indigenous community, is involved in various small-scale initiatives. Their focus areas include providing safe drinking water through pipeline installation, promoting organic food growth and production, raising awareness about sanitation and hygiene, and advocating for gender equality and women’s empowerment in rural communities. Experience a warm traditional Nepali welcome and actively participate in a few of their initiatives, followed by a delicious traditional Syangja lunch.

Option 2: For those seeking an extra dose of Nepali adrenaline, embark on an exhilarating mountain biking adventure along Pame Beach. Follow the path along the side bank of Fewa Lake, tracing the origin of the lake itself. Enjoy the scenic beauty and the refreshing breeze as you pedal through the landscape. We recommend indulging in a seafood lunch (not included) at Pame Beach, accompanied by a pint, as you bask in the glorious sunset.

Both options promise amazing experiences, making it a difficult choice to make. Tonight, we return to Pokhara, and for those who were sensible the previous night, this may be the perfect opportunity to embrace the vibrant nightlife and lively bars that line the lake. Celebrate the unforgettable moments of your journey amidst the bustling energy and lively atmosphere of Pokhara’s vibrant entertainment scene.

Meals: Breakfast and (lunch for those with Mothers Group only)

After a satisfying breakfast, we embark on a picturesque cruise across Phewa Lake, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Fishtail Mountain reflected in its calm and clear waters. Our boat takes us to the island of the Barahi temple, located in the middle of the lake. Take some time to explore the temple and soak in its spiritual ambiance before we continue our journey.
Leaving the island behind, we follow a scenic walking path that winds through a dense forest adorned with pine trees, Cyprus trees, and wildflowers. Our destination is the awe-inspiring World Peace Pagoda, a majestic Buddhist stupa perched atop a hill. From its vantage point, we are rewarded with panoramic vistas of the Annapurna range and the city of Pokhara.
Returning to our vehicle, we embark on a tour around Pokhara. Our first stop is Devis Falls, also known as Patale Chhango, which translates to “Underworld Waterfalls.” Witness the impressive cascades and learn about the local legends associated with this natural wonder. We then visit the Gupteswor Cave, a limestone cave that houses a sacred Shiva temple within its depths.
Our next destination is a Tibetan Refugee Camp located in Hyangja. The village is adorned with vibrant prayer flags, symbolizing the rich Tibetan culture that permeates the community. Spend time interacting with the local residents, learning about Tibetan traditions, religion, and indulging in their delicious traditional cuisine. Listen to the enchanting chants of the Tibetan monks as they offer their prayers.
If time permits and there are no unforeseen circumstances, we aim to meet with the Nepali police to gain insights into the challenges and risks faced by Nepalese women in society. Please note that unexpected changes in the itinerary may occur due to pressing police matters or weather conditions.
As the day comes to a close, take a moment to reflect on the meaningful experiences and stories you have encountered throughout your journey in Nepal.
