Day 1: Brisbane

AIt all starts in Bris-vegas! Queensland’s capital, Brisbane, is soon to be home of the summer Olympics, but the sport today is meeting and greeting new friends. Laidback, sunny, optimistic, buzzing, in many ways this is the quintessential Aussie city, making it perfect for hanging out with the group and getting to know everyone. Come for the evening walk along the Brisbane River, stay for the local brewery. Cheers.

Day 2: Brisbane to Byron Bay

Our next stop is Byron Bay, a laid-back haven for surf enthusiasts. Explore artsy markets, ride the waves, visit quaint cafes, trek to the lighthouse at Australia’s eastern most point (home to a captivating maritime museum and interpretive space), and unwind on the famed golden beaches that stretch endlessly along the coastline.

An afternoon kayaking session offers encounters with bottlenose dolphins, sea-turtles, and if you’re fortunate, a glimpse of elusive whales during their season.

Tonight Byron Bay’s nightlife beckons. This vibrant town truly comes alive after dusk, whether it’s dancing freely at a beachside bar or finding a quite cafe, Byron Bay offers a myriad of entertainment options.

Day 3: Byron Bay

Today’s focus is on relaxation. We’re in Byron Bay, where the pace of life is slower, inviting us to unwind and take it easy. You have the freedom to shape your day as you wish. You can enjoy a cocktail at a beachside bar, observe the world from cozy local cafes where the staff knows your preferences, soak up the sun on the beautiful beaches, explore quaint stores for unique finds, or partake in optional activities like skydiving, hot air balloon rides, snorkelling, or scuba diving.

Day 4: Byron Bay to Noosa

Another day of coastal exploration awaits as we venture towards Noosa, a paradise known for its stunning beaches and renowned surfing culture.  Our journey includes a visit to the Eumundi Markets (available on Wednesdays and Saturdays), showcasing locally crafted arts and crafts—an opportunity to discover unique treasures crafted by talented locals.

Noosa National Park reveals glimpses of iconic Australian wildlife such as koalas and kangaroos in their natural habitat. The afternoon grants you the freedom to indulge in Noosa’s offerings, whether it’s boutique shopping, savouring delectable seafood, or simply basking in the sun on the beach.

Day 5: Noosa, K’Gari (Fraser Island)

Get ready for an incredible 4WD journey on K’Gari, formerly known as Fraser Island. The local First-Nation Butchulla name translates to ‘paradise,’ fitting for the experience that lies ahead. Our adventure kicks off with an exhilarating drive along the famous 75 Mile Beach Road, a legitimate highway right next to the stunning beach.

On K’Gari, a refreshing swim awaits at Lake McKenzie, known for its soft sands and remarkably clear water. This expansive sand island offers a wealth of exploration, from lush rainforests to secluded freshwater creeks, the Maheno Shipwreck, and the stunning viewpoint at Indian Head.

Day 6: Noosa to Airlie Beach

Today your journey continues as we fly to Airlie Beach, a stunning highlight in the Whitsundays region. It’s a place renowned for its beauty. Once we land, Airlie Beach presents an array of options to explore. A leisurely walk through the town unveils charming shops, friendly locals, and the chance to stumble upon local street musicians. Explore some of the inviting bars offering an assortment of cocktails and local brews, perfect for unwinding, or spend the afternoon relaxing at the awesome swimming lagoon.

Day 7: Airlie Beach, Whitsunday Islands

Today you are in for a memorable day cruise to the Whitsunday Islands, anchored by the renowned Whitehaven Beach, known for beauty of its white sands, clear waters, and lush greenery feels. It’s a sight that must be seen to be fully appreciated. However, it’s not just about the scenery. Don some snorkelling gear as we dive into the underwater world of the fringing Great Barrier Reef, encountering vibrant coral, lively fish, and occasional turtles.

Once back on land, the evening invites further exploration of Airlie Beach and its array of dining options.

Day 8: Airlie Beach to Magnetic Island

Home to koalas, wallabies, lush forests, and breathtaking ocean vistas – today, we’ve journeyed north and crossed by ferry to Magnetic Island. This day promises incredible natural beauty, worthy of capturing with your camera. It’s like enjoying a feast of Mother Nature’s finest sights.

Day 9: Magnetic Island

Magnetic Island offers endless possibilities for adventure, and today is another chance to create lasting memories. There’s a wealth of optional activities awaiting exploration. Will you immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters for snorkeling or diving among tropical corals and fish? Perhaps you’ll opt for a rewarding hike through the lush island forest. Or consider renting a rugged jeep for an off-road excursion.

Day 10: Magnetic Island to Atherton Tablelands to Cairns

Our route diverges from the coastline to venture into the Atherton Tablelands today. Our first stop is a stunning waterfall embraced by lush rainforests – perfect for a refreshing dip in its cool waters. You’ll visit Lake Eacham, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and encounter the majestic “Curtain Fig Tree,” observe Platypuses in the wild at Peterson Creek, and enjoy a delightful culinary experience amidst Yungaburra’s heritage-listed timber cottages.

Finally, your day culminates in Cairns, a vibrant and tropical city that exudes a perpetual summer vibe.

Day 11: Cairns to Daintree

Enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters, surrounded by the rainforest’s serene beauty.

You’ll take a boat trip for an exceptional snorkelling experience on the renowned Great Barrier Reef, immersing yourself in an underwater world of unparalleled beauty. It is a vibrant world where colourful fish and intricate coral formations captivate the senses. From graceful sea turtles to lively clownfish, this underwater journey promises awe-inspiring encounters.

Day 12: Daintree to Cairns
